His involvement in the development of the design is well recorded. A very effective design in waves 1’ ~ 6’. This is because the function of the design is for one fin to rotate around the other very quickly giving the board short quick arcs which are better suited to small wave surfing.

Geoff McCoy has been shaping and designing big wave guns over 35 years. His knowledge and experience in this area are second to none. Over the last decade or so the advent of tow in surfing and Cheyne Horan’s well documented big wave exploits show Geoff’s continual commitment to big wave surfing. Geoff spent a lot of time in Hawaii collecting understanding and developing his knowledge of big wave surfing. Geoff McCoy designed big wave boards are a treasured item around the surfing world
